Your Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to supervisors, resolving issues and interpreting engineering deliverables.
  • Manage change and derogation requests from contractors during the execution phase.
  • Analyze technical challenges in contract execution, propose solutions, and guide the construction team with recommendations.
  • Prepare and transmit technical site directives regarding work execution to the contract administrator.
  • Develop and implement surveillance plans to ensure project quality.
  • Verify contractor methods and work, ensuring compliance with technical requirements (approved specifications and drawings) and industry standards.
  • Participate in work inspections and engineering meetings as required.
  • Support work planning and verify the scheduling of engineering, procurement, and implementation activities.
  • Contribute to contract administration by evaluating earned value progress and efforts to complete work.
  • Assist in implementing corrective plans when necessary.
Your Background:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in civil engineering works (formwork, concreting, structures).
  • Registered member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
  • ASP construction card.
Your Key Success Factors:
  • Knowledge of other construction disciplines, such as building electricity and mechanics.
  • Experience with design earlier in your career.
  • Experience with infrastructure projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent command of French, both oral and written.
  • Efficiency, autonomy, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
