Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Flight Simulator Instructor to join our team at CAE. In this role, you will have the opportunity to share your passion for flying and pass on your knowledge to the next generation of military pilots.

About the Role

This is a part-time position offering flexibility in handling tasks and projects. As a Flight Simulator Instructor, you will provide simulator instruction to military student pilots using the Harvard II and/or Hawk 115 Flight Training Device (FTD) in accordance with the applicable NFTC Training Plan and Canadian Forces Individual Training and Education System (CFITES).

Responsibilities

  • Develop specific expertise in one of the many aviation-related academic subjects associated with Military Pilot Training to create and deliver academic lectures in support of the NFTC training program.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of specific Aircraft Operating Instructions, applicable Standard Manoeuvre Manual, and NFTC pilot training syllabi.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary and multicultural teams to achieve common goals.

Your Background

  • You hold a military pilot background with practical experience in instructional techniques.
  • You possess excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as good presentation skills in English.
  • You demonstrate solid interpersonal skills, allowing you to work effectively with diverse groups.

Requirements

  • Candidates must successfully pass a security evaluation per the requirements of the Controlled Goods Directorate of Canada and obtain all necessary re-transfer authorization in compliance with US ITAR regulations.

Salary Information

We offer a competitive salary range of approximately $80,000 - $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
