Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced military pilot to join our team as a Flight Simulator Instructor. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing simulator instruction to military student pilots in accordance with the applicable NFTC Training Plan and Canadian Forces Individual Training and Education System (CFITES).

The Role We Are Offering You:

As a Flight Simulator Instructor, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and innovative team, providing simulator training to military student pilots from Canada and abroad. Your expertise will be essential in developing and delivering academic lectures in support of the NFTC training program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide simulator instruction on the Harvard II and/or Hawk 115 Flight Training Device (FTD) to military student pilots.
  • Develop specific expertise in one of the many aviation-related academic subjects associated with Military Pilot Training.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of specific Aircraft Operating Instructions, applicable Standard Manoeuvre Manual, and NFTC pilot training syllabi.

Our Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for a candidate with a military pilot background, knowledge of approved pilot instructional techniques, practical military pilot instructional experience, flexibility in handling tasks and projects, excellent oral and written communication skills, and good presentation skills in English.

Required Training or Skills:

Candidate must successfully pass a security evaluation per the requirements of the Controlled Goods Directorate of Canada and to CAE being able to obtain all necessary re-transfer authorization in compliance with US ITAR regulations.
