Superconducting RF Postdoctoral Researcher Opportunity

TRIUMF, Canada's particle accelerator centre, is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our Superconducting RF (SRF) group. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for supporting SRF projects and systems, including the Hi-Lumi cryomodule project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support SRF projects, including cavity receiving and testing, cryomodule assembly and testing
  • Support student activities in fundamental SRF research, including cavity processing and testing, equipment design and sample preparation and testing with local muSR/beta-NMR facilities
  • Support the RF service group in the operation and maintenance of TRIUMF's SRF systems

Requirements:

  • PhD in SRF physics and technology or a related field
  • Experience in SRF research and development, including electro-magnetic modeling, cryogenics, and high-power RF systems
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
