Postdoctoral Research Fellow Opportunity

The Vancouver Prostate Centre is seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our dynamic research team. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to cutting-edge research in RNA biology and prostate cancer.

About the Role

As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, you will be responsible for conducting research in RNA biology, assisting in preparing manuscripts and research proposals, and liaising with collaborators to present research findings in international conferences. You will also train undergraduate and graduate students and contribute to the development of new research projects.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in RNA biology and prostate cancer
  • Assist in preparing manuscripts and research proposals
  • Liaise with collaborators and present research findings in international conferences
  • Train undergraduate and graduate students
Qualifications and Requirements
  • PhD in Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field
  • Experience in cell culture, immunofluorescence microscopy, live cell imaging, in-situ hybridization, mass spectrometry, purification of recombinant proteins, isolation of polysome mRNA, electrophoretic mobility shift assay, qRT-PCR, and co-immunoprecipitation
  • Knowledgeable in statistics, RNA sequence and proteomics data analysis, and database management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Friendly, organized, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment
What We Offer

The salary range for this Postdoctoral Fellowship is $50,000 to $60,000 per annum. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The Vancouver Prostate Centre is a National Centre of Excellence and a designated Centre of Excellence for Commercialization and Research. We offer a dynamic and collaborative research environment, with access to state-of-the-art facilities and equipment.
