Postdoctoral Research Position in Pharmacoepidemiology

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced postdoctoral researcher to join our team in the Pharmacoepidemiology in Multiple Sclerosis Research Group at the University of British Columbia.

The successful candidate will be involved in a cross-Canada multi-site collaboration to examine the existence of a multiple sclerosis prodrome or 'pre-MS trait'. This study aims to identify early symptoms of MS and improve timely recognition, diagnosis, and management of the disease.

The postdoctoral researcher will play a key role in the success of this study, including hypotheses generation, study design, data access and linkage, statistical analyses, and interpretation of results. The researcher will also work closely with a part-time research coordinator, data programmer, and biostatistician to achieve the study goals.

The successful candidate will have a PhD/MD degree with expertise in epidemiology, pharmacoepidemiology, or a related field. They will have experience with large health-related datasets, data access and linkage from administrative databases, and computer proficiency in statistical software such as SPSS, STATA, SAS, or R.

The position is available for 1 to 3 years, with the possibility of extension. Salary will be according to CIHR guidelines.
