Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Area Manager to join our team at Atlas-Apex Roofing (Nova Scotia) Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our construction sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and optimize daily construction operations to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Develop and implement project schedules and milestones, monitoring progress and making adjustments as needed.
  • Recruit, hire, and supervise a team of construction staff and subcontractors, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to complete projects successfully.
  • Manage budgets and financial reports, ensuring accurate tracking and forecasting of project expenses.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports to senior management, highlighting project progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and customer service, to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all employees and subcontractors.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in construction management, project coordination, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects, with a focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and subcontractors.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
