About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Developmental Intern to join our team at the Nuclear Waste Management Organization. As a Developmental Intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our engineering team to gain hands-on experience in nuclear engineering and design management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist engineers in managing engineering deliverables, including preparing manufacturing/fabrication drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Work closely with engineers to develop and review technical deliverables, including design verification and change control processes.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews on engineering deliverables to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Develop and edit design management and engineering change control governance documents, including procedures and instruction documents.
  • Conduct research and analyze requirements to develop process block diagrams and logic flowcharts.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Currently enrolled in the third or fourth year of a Bachelor's Degree program in engineering with a focus on Nuclear, Mechanical, Physics/Mathematical Engineering with Mechanical option.
  • Experience in development and review of technical deliverables and technical report writing is considered an asset.
  • Experience working with CAD platforms like SolidWorks and AutoCAD is considered an asset.
  • High-level knowledge of design management process and engineering change control process is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products like Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Committed team player, quick learner, and ability to work independently.
