Advanced Care Paramedic

The Advanced Care Paramedic plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Reporting to the Health Services Manager, this team member works closely with other interdisciplinary team members to meet patient needs, practicing within the Advanced Care Paramedic scope of practice and demonstrating competencies in the provision of care.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A strong commitment to ongoing professional development, including participation in education programs, research, and continuous quality activities, is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care in accordance with the Advanced Care Paramedic scope of practice
- Collaborate with other team members to meet patient needs
- Develop and maintain competencies through ongoing professional development
- Contribute to the efficiency and effective functioning of the department
About You
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual with a strong passion for patient care. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Grade XII required
- Registered and licensed with the College of Paramedics of Nova Scotia (CPNS) required
- One (1) year of experience working as an Advanced Care Paramedic an asset
- Current BLS (HCP) Certification required
- Current ACLS certification
- Previous work experience in a hospital setting or emergency care preferred
- Demonstrated effective communication, interpersonal, organizational, patient assessment, and telecommunication skills
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours- Permanent, Part-time position; 30 hours bi-weekly
$31.52 - $36.57 Hourly
