Job Summary: Nova Scotia Health seeks an Advanced Care Paramedic to join their team in the Northern Zone, Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, working in collaboration with other interdisciplinary team members to meet patient care needs.

The Advanced Care Paramedic will report to the Health Services Manager and work in collaboration with other interdisciplinary team members to meet patient care needs. They will support patient care by practicing within the Advanced Care Paramedic scope of practice and demonstrating competencies in the provision of care.

About the Role
  • Grade XII required
  • Registered and licensed with the College of Paramedics of Nova Scotia (CPNS) required
  • One (1) year of experience working as an Advanced Care Paramedic an asset
  • Current BLS (HCP) Certification required
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Previous work experience in a hospital setting or emergency care preferred
  • Demonstrated effective communication, interpersonal, organizational, patient assessment, and telecommunication skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and continually enhance competencies through ongoing professional development
  • Support the development of colleagues and students by acting as a preceptor and providing ongoing mentorship
  • Contribute to the efficiency and effective functioning of the department in meeting patient needs
Compensation and Benefits

$31.52 - $36.57 Hourly
