About the Opportunity

The Advanced Care Paramedic is a key member of our interdisciplinary team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care in collaboration with other healthcare professionals. This role requires a strong commitment to maintaining and enhancing competencies through ongoing professional development, including education programs, research, and continuous quality activities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for practicing within the Advanced Care Paramedic scope of practice, demonstrating competencies in the provision of care, and contributing to the efficiency and effective functioning of the department in meeting patient needs.

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Advanced Care Paramedic to join our team. If you have a passion for delivering exceptional patient care and are committed to ongoing professional development, we encourage you to apply.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

  • Grade XII required
  • Registered and licensed with the College of Paramedics of Nova Scotia (CPNS) required
  • One (1) year of experience working as an Advanced Care Paramedic an asset
  • Current BLS (HCP) Certification required
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Previous work experience in a hospital setting or emergency care preferred
  • Demonstrated effective communication, interpersonal, organizational, patient assessment, and telecommunication skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
Hours and Compensation

This is a permanent, full-time position with 75 hours bi-weekly. The hourly rate is $31.52 - $36.57. Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
