About the Role

Nanometrics is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Financial Controller to join our finance team. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting while aligning with the company's business goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with regulatory and company standards
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring all financial practices comply with statutory regulations and company policies
  • Manage tax compliance, including preparation and filing of tax returns and liaising with tax authorities
  • Oversee balance sheet integrity, including cash management, forecasting, and analysis
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and enhance financial integrity
  • Support the Director of Finance in strategic planning and execution
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in financial management, reporting, and compliance
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. CPA preferred
  • Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of GAAP/IFRS/ASPE
  • Proven experience in managing audits and implementing robust internal controls
  • Proficiency with financial software and advanced Excel skills
  • Demonstrated ability to automate and optimize financial processes
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
