About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Residential Maintenance Assistant to join our team at 5562814 Manitoba Ltd. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of our apartment/condominium complex, hotel, motel, and resort properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors, as well as operating industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and waste.
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers, and wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings.
  • Make minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Advertise vacancies and contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment.
  • Perform other routine maintenance jobs, such as painting and drywall repair.
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures, and work with minimal supervision.
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a maintenance or facilities role.
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Dependability, flexibility, initiative, and judgement.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
