Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Assistant to join our team. As a Facilities Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the upkeep and functionality of our facilities, including residences and commercial spaces. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with a competitive salary and benefits package.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including drywall repair, painting, and carpentry
- Assist with building projects, such as door and window replacement, lock installation, and fence construction
- Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues
- Operate power tools and equipment safely and efficiently
- Read and follow manufacturers' instructions and measured drawings
- Grade 12 or equivalent and 3-5 years of experience in a handy person/construction role
- Solid knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
- Ability to accurately and safely operate portable and stationary power tools
- Strong organization skills and ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently
- Full Manitoba Driver's License and satisfactory driver's abstract
