Job Title: Depression and Trauma Care Counsellor

At CB Canada, we are seeking a skilled Depression and Trauma Care Counsellor to join our team of mental health professionals. As a Counsellor, you will work with clients who are struggling with depression and trauma, providing them with the support and guidance they need to overcome their challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize evidence-based approaches, such as CBT and DBT, to provide treatment focused on depression and trauma concerns
  • Work with clients to address issues of systemic workplace stress and routine exposure to direct trauma
  • Develop treatment plans and monitor client progress throughout treatment
  • Adhere to professional standards and best practices
  • Engage in clinical consultation with the clinical management team as required
Requirements:
  • A minimum of a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
  • Registration or clinical membership with a relevant governing body, with the ability to deliver psychotherapy services in your province of practice
  • 3 to 5 years of clinical counselling experience post-Master's degree
  • Experience in Trauma/PTSD counselling, including working with First Responder populations, is a strong asset
  • Completion of the BCPFFA Occupational Awareness Training for Therapists is a strong asset
  • Professional liability insurance coverage of $2,000,000 or as otherwise determined by CB Canada
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Written and verbal French language fluency is an asset
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook)
