Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a key member of our Primary Care Clinic, you will provide mental health clinical counselling interventions to patients across the lifespan. Your expertise in clinical assessment and treatment models, including individual, couple, family, and group therapy interventions, will be invaluable in helping us achieve our goal of promoting mental health and well-being for all.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide mental health clinical counselling interventions to patients across the lifespan.
  • Conduct clinical assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with the Family Physician and consulting psychiatrist.
  • Work collaboratively with the Primary Care Team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in mental health care.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years mental health clinical counselling experience.
  • Baccalaureate degree in a relevant health or social science field required.
  • Clinical Masters counselling degree preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and advanced level of practice in clinical assessment and treatment models.
