About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Addictions Counsellor to join our team at the Charles J Andrew Healing Centre. As an Addictions Counsellor, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals struggling with addiction and mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans
  • Provide one-on-one and group counselling sessions to clients, focusing on addiction and mental health issues
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients
  • Develop and implement effective interventions and strategies to support clients in achieving their goals
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions and progress
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Counselling or Psychology
  • Experience working with individuals struggling with addiction and mental health issues
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, policies, and procedures related to addiction and mental health
