About the Role

The Shaw Festival Theatre is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Coordinator to support the Governors Council team. As a key member of our Development department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our donor relations programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Governors Council Administration
    • Support the implementation of our ongoing stewardship processes, gift management, and recognition systems.
    • Process donations, including contacting donors for additional information as needed.
    • Prepare tax receipts and membership cards for donors.
    • Maintain and update donor records to ensure database integrity.
  • Governors Council Ticketing
    • Provide exceptional customer service to Governors Council members, including concierge-level ticketing support.
    • Assist with special requests from senior administration and development staff.
  • Event Coordination
    • Support the coordination of Governors Council donor-related events, including open rehearsals, special performances, and cultivation events.
    • Track RSVPs and event responses, and enter information into the database.
    • Provide support and/or run events as needed.
  • Governors Council Hosting
    • Support the Manager, Governors Council, with exceptional service and hospitality to donors at the Governors Council Lounge.
    • Monitor the lounge for evenings and weekends as needed.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a high-performance fundraising environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Customer service centric approach to all donor interactions.
  • Effective interpersonal skills with a professional presence and manner.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and donor database management.
  • Ability to work in teams or independently with minimal administrative support.
  • Event experience is an asset.
  • Smart Serve certification.
  • An appreciation for the arts and theatre.
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity and diversity, and experience promoting a respectful work environment.
Work Environment

35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with additional hours as needed.
