Job Summary

This is a key role within the College of New Caledonia, responsible for providing administrative support to the Regional Principal and other College employees. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, planning, implementing, and evaluating administrative office functions, as well as community education and related financial tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain efficient and effective information and communication systems, including admissions, registrations, enrolments, course completion tracking, and reporting.
  • Provide administrative support to the Regional Principal and other College employees, including preparing reports, managing databases, and ensuring compliance with Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIPOP) regulations.
  • Assist with budget processes, financial reporting, and accounts payable and receivable.
  • Support community education programmers by helping to formulate business models, consulting on course viability, and assisting with course management.
  • Provide direct front-end coverage, including responding to inquiries, processing applications, and making admission decisions.
  • Collaborate with other College departments to ensure efficient and effective registration processes.
Requirements
  • Minimum of five years relevant experience in business and office administration.
  • Minimum of two years post-secondary education in business and office administration.
  • Sound judgement and exceptional problem-solving skills, including ability to resolve unusual conditions.
  • Ability to deal with multiple tasks, responsibilities, and inquiries in short time spans.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  • Ability to work independently and motivate others while maintaining quality services.
  • Capacity to meet demanding work schedules and deadlines in a constantly changing environment.
