Job Title: Agricultural Meteorology Manager

As a key member of the Government of Alberta team, you will play a pivotal role in advancing agricultural meteorology data and services. Your expertise will be instrumental in leading a dynamic team to develop and implement climate and weather-related tools and services tailored for agricultural decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver AgMet services, including data collection, analysis, and dissemination.
  • Provide technical input into the design and implementation of agrometeorological components of the Alberta Climate Information Service.
  • Manage a team of specialists and coordinate their efforts to meet strategic goals.
  • Develop partnerships with industry and academic institutions to drive innovation in agricultural meteorology.
  • Ensure the effective communication of weather and climate information to farmers and other stakeholders.
  • Oversee resource allocation and overall management of the AgMet unit.
