Contract Faculty Position

We are seeking a qualified individual to join our team as a contract faculty member in the Veterinary Technology Program at Douglas College.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering VTEC 1101 – Veterinary Anatomy and Physiology, and VTEC 2311 – Veterinary Nutrition, in the Fall 2024 semester.
Responsibilities- Instruct students and facilitate learning in College courses
- Evaluate student progress and provide academic advice
- Plan, organize, and manage learning activities and resources
To be successful in this role, applicants must have a minimum of one of the following:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from an accredited university and registration with the College of Veterinarians of BC
- A Master's degree in conjunction with a diploma in Animal Health Technology or Veterinary Technology from an accredited program and registration with the BC Veterinary Technology Association (BCVTA)
Other combinations of experience and qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Preferred QualificationsExcellent oral and written communication skills are essential. Experience with post-secondary teaching would be an asset.
