Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team at Cooper Standard. As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our plant's IT systems, ensuring seamless operation and minimizing downtime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for IT systems, hardware, and software
  • Maintain and upgrade IT systems, including network infrastructure, servers, and workstations
  • Ensure compliance with corporate IT technology guidelines and standards
  • Collaborate with the corporate IT network services group to set up and configure new LAN and wireless equipment
  • Work with vendors and other IT resources to troubleshoot and correct IT systems problems
  • Manage PC and network software, including ordering, installing, and maintaining office automation software
  • Have a base knowledge of plant business systems, including Vanguard, Kronos, MP2, and legacy plant MS-Access databases
  • Respond to user calls and tickets requesting IT systems and services help or reporting a problem
  • Identify and solve problems, or quickly seek additional help if outside expertise is required
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an IT or Business Administration related field and 1-3 years job experience required or Associates Degree with similar job experience and willing to complete a Bachelor's degree as part of accepting this position
  • Knowledge of IT networking, PCs, printers, and telecom technology
  • Business process experience in a production environment is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills for dealing with all levels of salaried and hourly employees
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Wide range of IT technical support knowledge in being able to quickly troubleshoot IT business system problems

Professional office environment

Must wear proper personal protection equipment while on manufacturing floor

Travel to manufacturing facilities or customer locations when required
