About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team at Chaiiwala of London- Erin Mills. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations and ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are consistently met.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing a busy kitchen environment, with expertise in menu planning, food preparation, and team leadership. You will work closely with our head office team to develop and implement new recipes, menus, and promotions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of chefs and kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent performance and productivity.
  • Develop and implement new recipes, menus, and promotions to meet changing customer demands and preferences.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering supplies, and equipment as needed.
  • Supervise and train junior staff members to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor and control labor costs, maintaining efficient staffing levels and schedules.
  • Collaborate with the restaurant manager to achieve sales targets and optimize revenue streams.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a senior chef or head chef in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
  • Familiarity with food safety and hygiene protocols, with a commitment to maintaining high standards.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent full-time position, requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week. The salary range is between $55,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for career advancement.
