Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

Montana's Newmarket is seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, including supervising staff, managing inventory, and maintaining high standards of quality and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Train Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles.
  • Estimate Ingredients and Supplies: Estimate the ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have sufficient stock to meet customer demand.
  • Hire and Manage Staff: Hire and manage food service staff, ensuring that we have a skilled and motivated team in place.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing accurate and timely information to management.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit reports, providing management with key information and insights to inform decision-making.
Work Environment:

As a Food Service Supervisor at Montana's Newmarket, you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring strong organizational and time management skills. You will be required to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel, and work in a physically demanding environment.

Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service environment.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Hours: 35 hours per week.
