About the Role
The Director, Communications will lead the development and implementation of strategic initiatives for NorQuest College's communications and creative services functions. This role requires a dynamic leader with experience in managing communications teams within complex organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Communications division, providing strategic direction and empowering teams to self-direct their work.
- Promote a creative and inclusive work environment, fostering employee growth and collaboration between Marketing and Communications.
- Establish an omni-channel strategy for internal communications, enhancing employee experience and access to information.
- Implement a comprehensive external communications strategy, highlighting the college's impact on learners, communities, and the province.
- Respond to emerging issues and crises, providing guidance and communications support that reduces impacts for students, faculty, and staff.
Requirements:
- A related degree in a field such as communications, marketing, or public relations.
- 7+ years of progressively senior communications leadership roles, preferably in post-secondary education.
- Experience managing communications and creative services teams, with a focus on developing integrated strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Excellent understanding of various communications channels, platforms, and technologies.
