Senior Director, Philanthropy

TFS Foundation is seeking a seasoned fundraising professional to lead their philanthropic efforts as the new Senior Director, Philanthropy. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of the Thriving Futures campaign.

The Senior Director will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy, cultivating and soliciting major gifts, and managing a small team of fundraising professionals. Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with a variety of stakeholders are essential for this role.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of securing major gifts, experience in campaign fundraising, and a passion for building relationships with donors and prospective donors. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present to small and large groups.

As a collaborative and supportive partner, the Senior Director will work closely with school leadership, staff, parents, alumni, volunteers, and Board Members to advance the fundraising goals of TFS. They will also be responsible for developing and implementing a stewardship plan to recognize and thank donors for their support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy, including major gifts, leadership giving, and annual giving.
  • Cultivate and solicit major gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
  • Manage a small team of fundraising professionals, providing coaching and mentoring to support their growth and development.
  • Develop and implement a stewardship plan to recognize and thank donors for their support.
  • Collaborate with school leadership, staff, parents, alumni, volunteers, and Board Members to advance the fundraising goals of TFS.
Qualifications and Competencies
  • Progressive fundraising experience, including a successful track record of securing major gifts.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement fundraising strategies and plans.
  • Proven results in cultivating and soliciting major gifts and supporting others in this work.
  • Experience in campaign fundraising and stewardship.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present to small and large groups.
  • University degree or relevant post-secondary education.
