About the Role

As a School Age Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children aged 5-12. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing personal care and support to children, including toileting, first aid, and administering medication
  • Engaging children in play-based learning activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
  • Ensuring the safety and supervision of children at all times
  • Communicating effectively with families, staff, and volunteers to ensure a positive and inclusive environment
  • Participating in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR (Level C) certification
  • Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Up-to-date immunizations
  • Availability to work split-shifts, Monday to Friday, approximately 7:00-9:00am and 3:00-6:00pm
  • Passion for working with children and providing quality care and education
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and participate in physical activities
