Job Summary

Scotiabank is seeking a Senior Analyst, Credit Analysis & Support Team to contribute to the profitable growth and quality of the Commercial Automotive portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing credit administration tasks to the highest standard of quality for their assigned portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and analyze customer reporting items, including interim and annual financial statements, to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support the Annual Review process and preparation of credit correspondence, including analyzing client files and preparing spreads of annual financial statements.
  • Monitor and escalate offside conditions, covenants, and material deterioration, and update Task Manager accordingly.
  • Provide administrative support for credit and fulfillment activities, including maintaining complete monitoring systems and other credit-related tasks.
  • Ensure adherence to the Bank's Anti-Money Laundering program, Know Your Customer requirements, and Guidelines for Business Conduct.

Requirements

  • Sound credit skills, including the ability to write up deals, spread financials, and assess risk.
  • Intermediate accounting and financial statement analysis skills.
  • Solid problem-solving skills and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of the industry lines served by Scotiabank, including Automotive floor planning, wholesale leasing, and commercial real estate.
  • Ability to use personal computer programs, including Word, Excel, and relevant specialized software.
