About the Role:

This exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced Assistant Director Event Operations Banquets to join our dynamic team at AccorHotel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Department Operations: Ensure the smooth daily operation of the banquet department, including all banquet bar services.
  • Client Relations: Meet clients for specific rooms and functions, building strong relationships and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Financial Management: Monitor productivity, revenues, and costs to ensure the financial success of the department.
  • Team Leadership: Coach and train the Event leadership team, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Develop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Collaboration: Build relationships with Conference Services, Food & Beverage departments, and other teams to ensure seamless operations and excellent customer service.

Requirements:

  • Education: Post-secondary degree in Hospitality or Food and Beverage Management is an asset.
  • Experience: Minimum two years of experience in Food and Beverage Supervisor and/or Management position, with supervisory/management experience in a banquet facility an asset.
  • Skills: Strong leadership qualities, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work a flexible schedule.

Physical Aspects of Position:

  • Frequent standing and walking, frequent ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps, occasional bending and kneeling, and occasional carrying and lifting up to 20lbs.
