Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Manager to lead our Professional Standards team. The successful candidate will have 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting, with a focus on compliance and financial reporting. They will be responsible for creating new processes, templates, and maintaining audit and compliance standards, working closely with partners and CPA Ontario.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Learning & Development department
  • Liaise with partners on current compliance and audit standards
  • Create new processes, templates based on new CPA standards
  • Work closely with CPA Ontario for practice inspections
  • Oversee and assist with engagement performance policy and procedure development
  • Consult with engagement teams on complex accounting and financial reporting matters

Requirements

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting, with a focus on compliance and financial reporting
  • Prior experience with implementing new processes and testing internal controls will be an asset
  • Ability to take initiative for own learning and development
  • Passion to lead and train a team
  • Strong communication skills
