Job Title: Human Resources Generalist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team at the Thunder Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a vital role in supporting the Centre's mission and goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruitment and Hiring: Coordinate the recruitment process, develop job postings, and conduct interviews to ensure the Centre attracts and hires top talent.
  • Employee Relations: Foster positive employee relationships, resolve conflicts, and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Benefits and Compensation: Administer employee benefits, manage compensation packages, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Training and Development: Design and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge, and support career development.
  • HR Systems and Data: Maintain accurate HR records, analyze data to inform HR decisions, and implement HR systems to improve efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years in a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
