As a key member of the HR Risk and Controls Management team in Global Specialized Human Resources Services, Global Human Resources, you'll contribute to the overall success of the team by executing specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. Ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Enforce Global HR governance activities related to development/implementation of governance programs and frameworks, policies, and procedures, and internal controls.
  • Formulate techniques for quality data collection and ensure data accuracy and legitimacy.
  • Provide operational support to the Data life cycle. Partner with data consumers to agree on the scope of critical data quality challenges and ensure that the data operating model is implemented to reduce data risk.
  • Support the Data Strategy and initiatives that support it.
  • You will be hands-on leading the consolidation of disparate information about the data, as well as ensuring a sustainable understanding of how data flows through operational and analytic platforms and assist Data owner in institutionalizing an enhanced understanding of information assets at an aggregate level, data concept level, and data attribute level.
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk.
  • Champion a high-performance environment and contribute to an inclusive work environment.

Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience in analytics, data management, technology.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing (English and Spanish).
  • Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and MS365 environment skills.
  • Ability to assess requirements and complete activities timely and of high quality.
  • Anticipates underlying needs of partners and adds value.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently while customer-focused.
  • Adapting to and working effectively with various individuals and groups.
