About the Position

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Merchandising Specialist to work independently at multiple retail locations, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Territory: Langley

Full Time: During daytime hours

Temporary Contract: Approximately 2 months

About You

We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong work ethic, who can work independently and has an eye for detail. You should be well-organized, enjoy a fast-paced work environment, and have a passion for building strong business relationships. Experience in a food store is an asset. You must have a smartphone and access to the internet.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform merchandising tasks at one or two retail stores.
  2. Maintain sections, including proper rotation, restocking, and ensuring distribution of all products.
  3. Secure additional/incremental off-shelf displays.
  4. Clean sections, ensuring that equipment always meets food safety requirements, including sanitizing specific equipment on which food products are shelved, dusting display fixtures, and ensuring that food products are well presented to shoppers.
  5. Replace and/or repair fixtures as required and place POP materials, including shelf tags and signage.
  6. Place product orders and work with suppliers to ensure the order is placed.
  7. Promote special buying opportunities, displays, and new products.
  8. Perform any necessary POG changes and make recommendations with the department on adjustments to maximize sales.
  9. Build and maintain strong relationships with department personnel and store management.
  10. Submit daily required visit reports/call reports.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Your home location should be within 5 KM of our retail store (by car preferred or public transport).
  • Ability to lift up to 35lbs. Previous merchandising experience is an asset but not a requirement.
  • Able to commit to the length of the contract.
  • Have a smartphone and access to the internet.
  • Pay rate starts at $20/hour.
