Pelican Events & Catering is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records. Your tasks will include calculating and preparing cheques for payroll, calculating fixed assets and depreciation, and reconciling accounts. You will also be responsible for maintaining general ledgers and financial statements, as well as preparing other statistical, financial, and accounting reports. Additionally, you will be required to prepare tax returns and trial balance of books. If you have a Bachelor's degree and 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, we encourage you to apply. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills and be able to work independently. The work term is permanent, and the work language is English. The hours of work are 30 to 40 hours per week. If you are currently legally able to work in Canada, we look forward to hearing from you.
