Job Title: Early Childhood Supervisor

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Childhood Supervisor to join our team at Strawberry Field Daycare. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and development of our young students.

Job Summary:

The Early Childhood Supervisor will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This includes supervising staff, training, and volunteers, as well as assisting early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records
  • Establish guidelines for behavior
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
  • Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants
Requirements:
  • Child development supervisor (ECE level 3)
  • Attention to detail
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking
  • Punctuality
  • Flexibility
  • Team player
  • Ability to multitask
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Permanent position
  • 30 to 40 hours per week
  • English language
