Job Title: Senior Cash Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cash Management Specialist to join our team at NAV CANADA. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing cash applications and ensuring the accurate preparation of cash deposits to the bank.

About the Role:
  • This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • You will work closely with our accounts receivable team to ensure seamless integration of TD LOCKBOX and RBC Online services.
  • As a senior team member, you will provide guidance and support to junior staff members and contribute to the development of financial processes and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage large volumes of receipts from different revenue streams and prepare accurate cash applications and deposits to the bank.
  2. Ensure timely and accurate processing of cheques, including sorting and depositing via RBC Cheque Pro online portal.
  3. Integrate TD LOCKBOX and RBC Online services on a daily basis, making corrections as necessary.
  4. Assist accounts receivable staff in resolving customer inquiries and discrepancies.
  5. Collaborate with internal departments to post ad-hoc payments and resolve payment-related discrepancies.
Requirements:
  • Degree in accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP financial systems, particularly Accounts Receivable Cash application modules.
  • Excellent research skills to ensure accurate payment allocation to customer accounts.
  • Ability to administer financial processes and ensure compliance with internal control procedures.
  • Sound knowledge of IFRS and federal/provincial tax rates.
Salary:

The estimated salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 per year, based on location and industry standards.
