Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Academic Leader in Nursing Education to join our team at Humber College. As a Professor of Nursing, you will play a key role in developing and delivering high-quality nursing education programs that meet the needs of our students and the healthcare industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement curriculum for nursing programs, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
  • Design and deliver engaging and effective teaching methods, utilizing current pedagogical principles and technologies.
  • Assess student progress and achievement, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support student success.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and maintain strong links with professional associations and practice settings.
  • Supervise work-integrated learning activities, including clinical placements and academic advising.
  • Participate in committees and related associations to contribute to the development of nursing education and practice.
Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Nursing or a related field.
  • Registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Superior interpersonal communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in curriculum development, teaching, and assessment.
  • Strong knowledge of current pedagogical principles and technologies.
  • Commitment to fostering innovation and positive change in nursing education.
