About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Applications Engineer to join our team in Mississauga, ON. As a key member of our sales engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and solutions to customers, developing design specifications, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop customer design specifications and coordinate with customers and internal teams to ensure design accuracy and meet customer requirements.
  • Review customer requests for quotes, review customer specifications and/or customer parts, interpret drawings and other customer documents.
  • Provide technical service and training presentations to customers and representatives relating to SCHUNK components' use, operation, and maintenance.
  • Assist in preparing and delivering quotes and sales orders to customers, tracking and following up on quotes and sales orders with customers and potential customers.
  • Work closely with the production shop, sales and marketing staff, and other product teams to ensure smooth product delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in special projects as requested and assist the Marketing Department with Tradeshows.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technology discipline or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
  • Strong technical skills and ability to recognize and analyze problems, develop, implement and carry out solutions.
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to function effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a small team environment with Management, Technical Specialist, other Applications Engineers, Marketing, CSR, and Inside and Outside sales staff.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects coordinating priorities with team members.
