Southbridge Care Homes is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food and Environmental Services Manager to join our team at Seaforth Long-term Care and Retirement Home. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the food services and environmental services departments, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, organize, and manage the food services department to meet the nutritional needs of residents and ensure the effective and efficient preparation and delivery of food.
- Oversee the environmental services department, including housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance, to maintain a safe and clean environment for residents and staff.
- Supervise and motivate staff to ensure high levels of productivity and quality service.
- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements, including Public Health regulations, and maintain accurate records and reports.
- Liaise with residents, families, and staff to ensure excellent customer service and resident care.
- Current membership in the Canadian Society of Nutritional Management (C.S.N.M.) or a Registered Dietician required.
- Post-secondary education in dietary management and a recognized Food Services Program.
- Minimum 2 years dietary management experience in long-term care setting.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to direct the work of employees.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
- Experience managing employees within a unionized setting.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety practices, principles, and legislation.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
- Formal training in building maintenance is an asset.
- Health and safety certification is an asset.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices and/or prevailing practices relating to housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance.
