Food and Environmental Services Director

Southbridge Care Homes is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food and Environmental Services Manager to join our team at Seaforth Long-term Care and Retirement Home.
About the Role:The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Food and Environmental Services departments, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This is a full-time opportunity that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, organize, and provide high-quality dietary services for residents, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.
- Supervise and motivate dietary staff, ensuring a high level of productivity and best use of staff capabilities.
- Ensure the environment of all food preparation and storage areas meets Public Health requirements.
- Manage departmental budgets, inventory, and supplies, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Participate in leadership team activities, including participation on teams and committees, and reporting.
- Current membership in the Canadian Society of Nutritional Management (C.S.N.M.) or a Registered Dietician required.
- Post-secondary education in dietary management and the successful completion of a recognized Food Services Program.
- Minimum 2 years dietary management experience in long-term care setting.
- Strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety practices, principles, and legislation.
