Hydro One Networks Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Co-op Student to join our team as a Financial Reporting Co-op Student. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial reporting and contribute to the success of our organization.
About the Role
As a Financial Reporting Co-op Student, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of external consolidated annual and quarterly financial statements and management's discussions and analysis (MD&A). This will include assessing and accumulating information and data, preparation of analysis, working papers, and issue identification and resolution. You will be responsible for specific assigned areas of the financial statements, including disclosure notes and the management's discussions and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of external consolidated annual and quarterly financial statements and management's discussions and analysis (MD&A).
- Prepare annual regulatory and legal-entity financial statements.
- Assist in resolution of day-to-day issues associated with areas of responsibility.
- Attend staff meetings and participate in task forces, as assigned.
- Ad hoc projects.

Requirements
- Discipline: Business with concentration in Finance or Accounting.

- Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborating and cooperating with other team members and individuals in various business groups and affiliate companies.
