Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Co-op Student to join our Finance team at our head office in Etobicoke. As a Co-op Student, you will have the opportunity to work with our experienced team, gain hands-on experience in financial reporting, and develop your skills in accounting, forecasting, and budgeting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Validate Canadian and international subsidiaries' financial statement information for monthly reporting packages
  • Post journal entries as necessary in SAP
  • Help maintain the accuracy and integrity of forecast files on a department, company, and consolidated level
  • Assist with balance sheet preparation for all companies (international and Canadian) and reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly facilities internal order report, analyzing various cost elements variances
  • Prepare monthly prepaid and accrual accounts in SAP
  • Assist with audit information requests from our auditor
  • Provide support for other financial areas as needed
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled full-time in a post-secondary Accounting (Bachelor of Commerce or Business Administration) program, requiring a co-op placement
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
