Administrative HR Assistant

We are seeking an HR Co-op Student to join our team at ATS Traffic Ltd. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for administering the full-cycle recruitment process for entry-level and seasonal positions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and post job advertisements on our internal and external job boards.
- Review resumes and applications, select candidates, and conduct preliminary phone interviews.
- Schedule and conduct interviews, and debrief with the hiring manager.
- Perform reference checks for permanent entry-level vacancies.
- Prepare offer letters and employment documentation, ensuring all pre-employment requirements are complete prior to the start date.
- Schedule pre-employment drug and alcohol testing, and follow up with the testing provider on results.
- Prepare and deliver recruitment reports for our leadership team.
- Set up New Employee Orientation, coordinating with participating departments such as Health and Safety, Product Specialists, and Technology.
- Assist our HR Business Partner with duties as required.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary education program with a specialization in Human Resources, Industrial/Employee Relations, Law, or a related field.
- Preference will be given to 3rd and 4th year students who have completed courses related to HR, recruitment, employee relations, and health and safety.
- A creative, fresh perspective and positive "can do" attitude to attract top talent to our organization.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple vacancies with candidates at various stages in the recruitment process.
- Intermediate skill level in MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Ability to learn new software, specifically our HRIS program UKG.
