Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Janitorial Services Specialist to join our team at 2396698 Alberta Ltd. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our commercial building and shopping centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Waste Management: Empty trash cans and other waste containers, and operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, and debris.
  • Specialized Tasks: Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings, and perform safety and security checks to ensure the well-being of our employees and customers.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Assist in recruiting and supporting newcomers and refugees who were displaced by a conflict or natural disaster, and provide mentorship programs to pair them with experienced employees.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Offer mentorship programs and diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Work Setting: Commercial building and shopping centre.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
