About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Janitorial Services Specialist to join our team at 2396698 Alberta Ltd. as a key member of our facilities maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and Maintain Facilities: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to ensure a clean and safe environment for employees and visitors.
  • Operate Industrial Equipment: Use industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse from the premises.
  • Waste Management: Empty trash cans and other waste containers, and ensure that all waste is disposed of properly.
  • Specialized Cleaning Tasks: Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings, and perform safety and security checks to ensure the facility is secure and well-maintained.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens, and clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
  • Bathroom Cleaning: Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures to maintain a high level of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Minimal Supervision: Work with minimal supervision, taking initiative to complete tasks and maintain a high level of productivity.
Support for Diverse Groups
  • Newcomer and Refugee Support: Recruit and support newcomers and refugees who were displaced by a conflict or natural disaster, providing them with opportunities for foreign credential recognition and mentorship programs.
  • Indigenous Support: Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Visible Minority Support: Offer mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees, and provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment.
