The Opportunity:

This senior management position plays a key role in implementing the City's strategic direction through leadership in parking enforcement, licensing, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will have a strong background in municipal governance, leadership, and management, with a proven track record of driving results and improving efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve parking enforcement and licensing services
  • Lead a team of professionals to ensure compliance with municipal bylaws and regulations
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve complex issues and improve customer service
  • Provide guidance and support to employees to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in municipal legislation and regulations, and ensure that the department is compliant
  • Develop and manage budgets to ensure effective use of resources
  • Build and maintain relationships with community groups, stakeholders, and other departments to promote the City's interests

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior management role in municipal government
  • Proven track record of leadership, management, and problem-solving
  • Strong knowledge of municipal bylaws, regulations, and legislation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary range: $97,260 - $121,575 per annum
  • 75 hours biweekly, Monday to Friday, with some evening and weekend work required
