Lethbridge School Division is seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Speech Language Pathologist to join its multi-disciplinary team. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, addressing barriers to participation and learning, and promoting the success of children and students from Early Education to grade 12.

About the Role

This is a temporary position that follows the assigned Speech Language Pathologist calendar. The Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for delivering a continuum of support within the division's Response to Instruction and Intervention framework (RTI2). They will provide universal strategies to support all students in inclusive classrooms, facilitate the development of age-appropriate skills, and administer standardized assessments.

The ideal candidate will possess strong assessment and problem-solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to establish rapport with students, families, and staff. They will be responsible for collaborating with other therapists and specialists to support student development and participating in professional learning opportunities for school teams.

  • Deliver a continuum of support within the Response to Instruction and Intervention framework (RTI2)
  • Provide universal strategies to support all students in inclusive classrooms
  • Facilitate the development of age-appropriate skills
  • Administer standardized assessments
  • Collaborate with other therapists and specialists to support student development

Requirements

The successful candidate will require a degree in a recognized program in Speech-Language Pathology, be registered with Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA), and be eligible for certification with Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC). Experience working in an educational setting is preferred.
