About the Team & Business LineFund Administration is our core business, and our alternative asset and accounting service is one of the most respected in the industry. Our commitment to learning and technology solutions enables our team to deliver exceptional client experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with Reconciliations and Fund Accounting teams to ensure accurate security reference, pricing, and corporate action data.
- Support manual security updates, including accrual and principal factors, and partner with Pricing and Valuation Teams to improve instrument type functionality and coverage.
- Troubleshoot daily issues related to market data and internal system applications.
- Analyze and correct anomalies in vendor-provided and customer-provided data.
- Recognize patterns of issues and request solutions from IT staff.
- Report to the local manager (VP) of the Market Data team.
- Work with development on projects related to market and instrument data, and conduct UAT testing in the Market Data environment.
- Liaise with RPA teams to automate Market Data processes as part of the firm-wide Business Process Optimization initiative.
- Prepare and conduct staff reviews, manage staff progression, and track progress towards goals and KPIs.
- Lead by example, promote a high-quality standard of work, and foster an environment that encourages proactive resolution through root cause analysis.
- Build and forge strong relationships with internal and external customers, serving as a positive ambassador for the team.
- 5+ years of experience in Fund Administration or Brokerage Operations with a strong understanding of static and variable Market Data.
- Deep understanding of financial derivative products, such as Fixed Income, Equities, and Derivatives.
- Prior experience working with market data vendors, such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Markit, and ICE.
- Strong market data and project experience, with knowledge of Markit EDM.
- Prior experience using SQL, VBA, Oracle, or other programming languages.
- Prior interaction with IT development staff on development projects.
- Experience in Summa (desirable, but not required).
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to summarize complex ideas in simple terms.
- Experience managing and motivating a team, preferably in a virtual team setting.
- Adaptability, perceptiveness, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
