About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Market Data Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Market Data Business Group, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our market data, working closely with our Reconciliations and Fund Accounting teams to resolve issues and improve system functionality. Your expertise in financial instruments and data analysis will be invaluable in driving business growth and delivering exceptional client experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to system functionality and instrument reference and pricing data
  • Provide support for manual security updates, including updating accrual and principal factors
  • Troubleshoot daily issues related to market data and internal system applications
  • Analyze and correct anomalies in vendor-provided and customer-provided data
  • Recognize patterns of issues and create requests for IT solutions
  • Report to the local manager (VP) of the Market Data team
  • Collaborate with development on projects related to market and instrument data, and conduct UAT testing in the Market Data environment
  • Liaise with the RPA team to automate Market Data processes as part of the firm-wide Business Process Optimization initiative
  • Prepare and conduct staff reviews, manage staff progression, and track progress towards goals and KPIs
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in Fund Administration or Brokerage Operations, with a strong understanding of static and variable Market Data
  • Deep knowledge of financial derivative products, including Fixed Income, Equities, and Derivatives
  • Experience working with market data vendors, such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Markit, and ICE
  • Strong market data and project experience, with knowledge of Markit EDM
  • Proficiency in SQL, VBA, Oracle, or other programming languages
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
