About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Market Data Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Market Data Business Group, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our market data. This will involve working closely with our Reconciliations and Fund Accounting teams to resolve issues related to system functionality and instrument reference and pricing data.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Investigating and resolving issues related to market data and system functionality
  • Providing support for manual security updates, including updating accrual and principal factors
  • Collaborating with our Pricing and Valuation Team and Market Data Technology Teams to improve instrument type functionality and coverage
  • Analyzing and correcting anomalies in vendor-provided and customer-provided data
  • Recognizing patterns of issues and creating requests for IT staff to resolve
  • Reporting to the local manager of the Market Data team
  • Working with development on projects related to market and instrument data, and conducting UAT testing in the Market Data environment
  • Liaising with the RPA team to automate Market Data processes
  • Managing staff time tracking and absence records in admin tools
  • Tracking progress towards goals and KPIs, motivating and supporting team efforts to achieve goals
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong understanding of market data and financial instruments. Key qualifications include:

  • A degree in an IT or business-related field, such as accounting, finance, economics, or computer science
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in fund administration or brokerage operations, with a strong understanding of static and variable market data
  • In-depth knowledge of financial derivative products, including fixed income, equities, and derivatives
  • Prior experience working with market data vendors, such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Markit, and ICE
  • Strong market data and project experience, with knowledge of using Markit EDM
  • Prior experience using SQL, VBA, Oracle, or other programming languages
  • Prior interaction with IT development staff on development projects
  • Experience managing and motivating a team, preferably in a virtual team setting
